CFPB Offers COVID-19 Financial Tools and Resources, Now in Multiple Languages

On August 26, 2020 the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau announced the release of the following additional resources made available to consumers in multiple languages:

  • COVID-19 economic stimulus and relief information

Including information related to mortgage and housing assistance, managing finances, student loan benefits, and avoiding scams, offered in six languages

  • Multilingual glossaries

Over 1,200 financial words and terms in English, Spanish, and Chinese, with others available soon.

  • Equal Credit Opportunity Act Brochures

Translated in Spanish, with more languages available soon, informing borrowers on consumer protection regulations related to lending discrimination.

  • Training and Educational Guides

Your Money, Your Goals toolkit, Financial Wellbeing Scale, and the Newcomer’s Guide to Managing Money, now available in English and Spanish.

The CFPB website offers translation in Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Tagalog, Arabic, Russian and Haitian Creole.  View the CFPB webinar and the list of free multilingual resources.
